How to Order Prescription Lenses
Ordering prescription lenses through Eyeglass.com is simple. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth experience and faster turnaround time. 3 Step Guide: How to Submit Your Prescription
1. Get Your Prescription + Pupillary Distance (PD)
- Visit your eye doctor for an updated prescription.

Be sure to ask for your PD (Pupillary Distance) — most doctors will not include it unless you request it. If you don’t have the PD:
- Contact the store that made your last glasses; they may have it on file.

2. Place Your Order on Eyeglass.com
Choose your frames or select a lens-replacement option. After checkout, you’ll need to submit your prescription for legal processing.
3. Send Us Your Prescription
It is required by Florida law that we have a copy of your prescription. After placing your order, submit your prescription and PD using one of the following methods:
- Email: Scan or photograph and send to status@eyeglass.com
- Text: Send a clear photo to (941) 780-8463
- Replacement lenses: Place a paper copy inside the box with the eyeglasses you are mailing to us.

Additional Information
All of our lens packages include several standard coatings at no additional charge. Every lens automatically comes with a free anti-scratch coating, UV protection, anti-reflective coating (AR), and a UV coating. These coatings help protect your lenses, reduce glare, and improve overall visual clarity.
Processing Time
- Standard prescription lenses: Up to 2+ weeks (business days)
- Glass lenses: 30+ business days
Edging & Lab Work
- All lenses are edged by a licensed optician in a state-of-the-art lab.
- The lab is not responsible for breakage when installing lenses into pre-owned frames.
Breakage is rare but possible, especially with older or brittle frames.
Using Your Existing Frame
- Place your prescription in the box with your glasses.
- We insure packages up to $100. You are responsible for choosing additional shipping insurance if needed.
- The lab cannot be responsible for lost packages or breakages in older/used frames
