  • SLIPPING GLASSES: Are you tires of your glasses constantly falling at work or at home? These were made due to the frustrations they consistently heard from our patients. We found that very few manufacturers make a cable temple pair of eyeglasses let alone sunglasses. Many of our active patients requires a pair of eyeglasses with a cable temple and unfortunately there was not much on the market that was fashionable.
  • CABLE TEMPLES: These cable temples were designed to reduce slippage of your eyewear. It features a 1.3mm hole which is the average of MOST metal eyeglass frames. These will not work with frames that have thick metal temples or full plastic temples.

Instructions For Adding Cable Ends

These will not work with frames that have thick metal temples or full plastic temples.

Remove plastic temple ends (can use hot air from blow dryer) and test to make sure metal temple will fit.  Avoid heating lenses.

Measure frame temple to crotch of the ear and mark the temple. Cover with a cloth and cut approx. 10mm behind your mark.  Measure twice - cut once.  Keep in mind all cuts will be different for all people due to sizes.  We use wire cutters to snip off the ends.

Remove burr edges if need be with sand paper.

These will have a tight fit so that stay in place.  Twist back and forth to get them to slide on the metal frame.  Once satisfied with fit you can lightly sand and clean with alcohol  to remove any oils.

You can carefully apply a drop of glue if need be (we do not recommend).  We have not needed the glue to make the temple ends stay secure.   Glue is optional.
