/// Rating: Excellent - The gold pince-nez on which my wife had relied for reading for many years was accidentally broken. Repeated attempts to find a replacement in the UK were unsuccessful, but on searching the internet I found eyeglass.com in the USA offering what appeared to be an ideal replacement at a very competitive price.

I placed an order, for which I received an immediate e-mail response with details of shipment and the price, which was charged to my credit card.

Delivery took rather longer than anticipated but my e-mail queries were promptly answered together with an offer to ship a replacement pince-nez if the original proved to be lost in transit. In fact it arrived shortly afterwards having been delayed in UK Customs pending the assessment for duty.

My wife is delighted with her new pince-nez which fully lives up to expectations.

///Rating: I got my frames filled!! I ordered my frames last week (LC 126 PEW 140 Titanium w/clip) and today went in to LensCrafters to buy the lenses. I talked to the sales lady and asked her what the frames and clip would normally cost. I was amazed when I heard over a hundred dollars just for the frames (Titanium) and over fifty dollars for the clip! She, in turn, was amazed when I told her where I bought them and for fifty dollars! She told the lab technicians and the other sales people. It was then that I realized how good the deal was!!

///Rating: Message from former eyewear rep.- Hi! I found your site on the net and was amazed. The frames you offer are from some of the best manufacturers. I was a frame rep for eleven years, working in the field selling to optical shops and doctors who sold frames. The prices were staggering, and people held on to their old frames much too long because the price of a new pair was so expensive. I saw situations where a person was having the third prescription put in a worn frame. The way you are doing this is so consumer targeted that I, for one, wish you the best of luck. Be assured, when I buy my next frame you're where I'm going. If you would like to hear more from me that might help you with the consumer, I'm happy to e-mail you answers to some questions; like why do frames cost so much? I heard that every day I was selling and for the life of me the only answer I could give (but never did) was that the people who owned optical wholesale companies liked to live well, because I never saw justification in the high costs for frames.
