Eyeglass.com's president, Jim Morrison, by telephone on July 5 for a
report set to air Friday morning.
The
report about the high cost of eyeglasses shows consumers how to use
the Internet to save money when buying frames, Morrison said. "She
was certainly aware that eyeglasses cost a lot, and they shouldn't."
A
Today show spokeswoman did not return calls on Tuesday.

called Eyeglass.com as a "regular customer" but did identify
herself, he said. "She called ready to shop."
Of
the companies Chatzky contactec, "she said we were the least expensive.
She had done her research," Morrison said.
Eyeglass.com,

1999. Before that, it was part of Morrison International, which developed
eye-care technology for charities and developing copuntries, for four
years.

Web site draws more than 100,000 page views per month, Morrison said.
"We're one of the survivors and thrivers."
If
Chatzky mentions Eyeglass.com during the "Today's Money" segmanet
on Friday, it would be a first for the company.
"She
said there's millions of viewers, so be prepared to respond," Morrison
said.
We
know when we have any kind of public awareness, sales and traffic increase,"
he said. "This could be very important to us." |
