About Eyeglass.com

Eyeglass.com launched in 1995, as one of the first online businesses to offer prescription eyeglasses, designer eyewear and affordable frames. For almost 20 years Eyeglass.com has maintained authorized relationships with the best frame and lens brands. This longevity assures customers of dedicated service and authentic products.

As online pioneers, eyeglass.com has paved the way for other online retailers and sites that sell optical products on the web.

Eyeglass.com provides high quality lenses and frames at an affordable price and specializes in frames that are hard to find. Eyeglass.com is committed to excellence and continues to strive toward new frontiers in the optical world.

About the Founders – Two generations in the optical world with numerous eyecare patents.

Founded by Dr. Robert J. Morrison and his son Jim Morrison, eyeglass.com combines over a half century of optical experience and deep roots in the optical industry.

Dr. Robert J. Morrison, or Dr. M as he is often called, made a name in the optical world beginning in the 1960’s when he co-patented the soft contact lens and went on to develop one of the largest private optometry practices in the world. Dr.M served as eye doctor to such royalty as the Queen of Holland and celebrities like Bill Cosby and Barbara Walters, to name a few. In addition, Dr. M is a professor of Optometry and Ophthalmology at Penn State Medical School and author of the Soft Contact Lens Book.

His son, Jim Morrison, holds five patents related to the design and manufacture of frames and lenses. Jim has also dedicated many years of his life doing philanthropic work around the world to bring eyewear to impoverished people.
